A conference for those interested in design
Journeys InDesign is a design conference about where design can take you and the adventures it can make. The belief for Journeys InDesign is for people to learn from other artists and designers’ experiences and journeys and explore the possibilities of where design can take you. The target audience was people of all ages and abilities who may have an interest in the area of art and design whether they do it as a hobby or profession.
The Approach
My approach was to create this cartoon character and have him as a consistent element throughout my touch points. I made him cute and funny using pathos, evoking an emotional response that created liking. I used the colour orange throughout as it aligns with my theme and feel.
Poster
It is the colour of excitement joy enthusiasm, success and adventure. My explorer was a visual metaphor, along with him, colour and other elements throughout my work I looked to inspire and create a fun, open invitation to come learn about the possibilities for someone in design.
